Life Passage - “I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. " Isaiah 42:16 Short Bio -
I graduated from Warner Southern College in Lake Wales Florida where I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Music. I worked in several positions including, teaching music, elementary summer program director and many other “jobs”. In May 2002, I became Children’s Pastor of Tampa First Church of the Nazarene. While at Tampa First, God began to speak to me about my life calling which was to be a full time Children’s Pastor. I am currently going back to school for my Christian Education degree as well as serving at Xenia Nazarene.
Family Life -
I am married to a great guy, Rich Beard who was born and raised in Michigan (sorry Buckeye fans). Rich and I were married in August 1994. God has richly blessed our lives with two boys, Landon born in 1998 and Logan born in 2001.
Fun Fact -
There is “almost” nothing I wouldn’t do for kids. As rewards for goals met, I’ve eaten a worm and kissed a pig (but not at the same time)!
Hobbies -
I love spending time with my family. We have a slight addiction to our four wheelers and Myth Busters T.V. show.
Faith Testimony -
As a Pastor’s Kid, we were ALWAYS at church. Church was (and still is) my second home. At the age of five, in Sunday School taught by Rosie Youngblood, I asked Jesus to come into my heart. I will never forget how she lovingly presented the gospel to me that day! At the age of nine, during revival, I was sanctified. My teenage and young adult years I had an “up and down” experience but after trying many things, I found that nothing can fulfill me like the love of Christ. His love is perfect.
